CATEGORY "AM"

The following vehicles can be driven with category AM driver’s license: motorized bicycle up to 50 cubic cm, animal-drawn vehicle, garden tractor.

 1.Step 1 – Application/Enrollment

Application and enrollment are possible at our school personally at our offices, during opening hours, or by completing the form HERE . 

Required documents and conditions for enrollment:

- Personal documents

- Driver's license (if you already have it)

- The first installment of the tuition fee (theoretical coursefee)

- Medical fitness certificate, if you already have it (if you don't have it yet, you can get it on the way, but you must have it by the application time for the Theoretical exam at the latest)

 

Step 2 – Completion of the Theoretical course(e-learning)

Due to the changed needs, only online traffic regulations courses are available at our school.

Conditions for admission to the course for category AM driver's license:

A valid identity document (under the age of 14, a student card is also acceptable) and domicile address card

Required age: minimum 13.5 years

Ability to read and write

 

Upon receipt of the tuition fee for the e-learning course, you will get access to the curricula. Once you mastered it, we will register you to the Theoretical exam. The curricula are available for a 180-day period with 75 online hours.

Step 3 – Theoretical exam

Conditions for admission to the Theoretical exam:

- At least 13 years and 9 months of age

- Completed application form (we print this at the school)

Application for the traffic regulations exam must be done personally at the school with the medical fitness certificate and payment of the exam fee.

You must attend at the Theoretical exam for the first time within 9 months of the start of the traffic regulations course. If you do not pass your Theoretical exam within 12 months from the start of the course, you can only apply for the Theoretical exam again after repeating the entire traffic regulations course. The cost of this will be borne by you. You must take the first exam within 9 months of the start of the traffic regulations course. Driving practice lessons can only be started after a successful Theoretical exam. The driving practice exam must be done during a 2-year period starting from the date of the Theoretical exam. Should you fail to this condition all courses must be started from the beginning.

Step 4 – Vehicle handling course and exam

You can master the routine tasks on a motorcycle on the following practice & exam track: 

location of first practical lessons: city of Pomáz; for later hours, the track at 178 Váci road, Budapest, district 13 can also be chosen.

At the end of the driving practice, a vehicle handling exam must be taken.

Step 5 – Driving-in-traffic training and exam

This is the most important and, at the same time, the most difficult stage of learning, which consists of city and highway driving-in-traffic practices. These classes end with a driving-in-traffic exam.
Conditions for the admission to the driving practice exam:

 

- At least 14 years of age by the day of the exam

- Completion of the prescribed number of driving-in-traffic hours

- Completion of compulsory travel distance

- Valid identity card or passport

- Presentation of an existing driver's license

Step 6 – Completing the first aid course and exam

An online first aid course is available at our school. The first aid course at the Hungarian Red Cross can also be completed in a classroom type. You can complete the first aid course at any time during the process of other mandatory courses, but the first aid exam certificate must be shown to obtain the driver's license document. The easiest way to apply for the first aid exam is to visit the following website: https://vizsga.voroskeresztbp.hu 

The first aid exam fee must be paid to the account of the Hungarian Red Cross. Do not pay it to the driving school!

Step 7 – Issuance of the driver’s license

From the day after a successful driving practice exam, you can visit any Okmányiroda (Office of Government Issued Documents) with the request of preparation and issuance of your driver’s license. Take your ID, your existing driver's license, the medical fitness certificate and the first aid exam certificate with you. The authority has 30 days to issue the driver's license, but it usually arrives much sooner.
