Driver's license naturalization

If you have previously obtained a driver's license in another country and want to have it naturalized, the first step is to visit an Okmányiroda (Office of Government Issued Documents). You need to bring the original driver's license, its authentic translation and a medical fitness certificate with you. Based on the presented documents, the Okmányiroda issues a declaration in which it describes in detail the conditions under which a Hungarian driver's license can be obtained. There is no mandatory number of hours for students coming for naturalization, but according to our experience, it is worth counting on a minimum of 10 driving hours.

Conditions for applying for the naturalization of a driver's license:

-Hungarian residence permit issued at least six months ago

-Hungarian address card

-passport

- medical fitness certificate

- official translation of the original driver's license

- declaration by the Okmányiroda

We charge an administration fee for students coming for driver's license naturalization.
